Session 1, Freud: The Aetiology of Hysteria: How Freud's experience with trauma laid the foundation for all trauma therapy and for dynamic psychotherapy as well.

Session 2, Catharsis: A detailed look at the basic mechanism for the healing or processing of emotions.

Session 3, Dissociation: An often overlooked but fundamental mechanism, particularly in trauma.

Session 4, Internalization: Identification with the aggressor and the formation of the superego.

Session 5, Development and Attachment: Complex PTSD and effects on development. Herman's view of Borderline pathology, attachment schemas.

Session 6,Trauma in Adulthood and Disaster: Focus on clinical work with people whose primary traumas are in adulthood.
